New patches for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are ready for you. If you update your browser, you close 30 security gaps and protect your PC from being taken over by cybercriminals.

Vulnerabilities in web applications

With update 101.0.4951.41 for Windows, macOS and Linux, Google closes the security gaps. Most vulnerabilities are found in the API (Application Programming Interface) of some browser applications. APIs are programming interfaces that serve, among other things, as a link between the web application and the server.

The 30 vulnerabilities pose a high risk as they can be exploited by cyber criminals to gain access to your system. In the worst case, the attackers can take control of your computer.

As Malwarebytes reports, Microsoft’s Edge browser is also affected. The browser is based on Chrome and shares a number of the same weaknesses. With the new version 101.0.1210.32 these are also fixed.
