Ursula von der Leyen in Boutcha, site of atrocities in Ukraine

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen arrived Friday in Boutcha, a small town northwest of kyiv that has become a symbol of the atrocities of the war in Ukraine, noted an AFP journalist.

Ursula von der Leyen, who is accompanied by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced on Friday that she would go to the capital as a sign of support for Ukraine. The two leaders went to see the mass graves dug in Boutcha to bury the dozens of civilians killed in the fighting.
