WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden called on the Senate on Tuesday to confirm his appointments to the Federal Reserve, stressing the key role of the U.S. central bank in tackling rising prices.

Joe Biden, who also stressed the independence of the Fed, said he was confident in the ability of the latter to fulfill its missions, believing that inflation was the major economic priority.
