US Congress passes law to limit gun violence, largest in decades


After the Senate on Thursday, the House of Representatives approved a package of measures introducing new gun limitations and dedicating billions of dollars to mental health and school safety.

The United States Congress passed to applause Friday, June 24, a law supported by members of both parties, aimed at putting in place the most important regulation of firearms in nearly 30 years in a country plagued by shootings.
