US presidential election: The stars are waiting for the result

Ice cream, "stress cooking", tilting: the stars bridge the anxious hours in various ways before the decision in the US election.

Who will rule the fortunes of the United States for the next four years? This question concerns billions of people around the world these days and hours. The script for the race between Republican Donald Trump (74) and Democrat Joe Biden (77) seems to come from Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980) himself and has already cost countless nerves and probably fingernails. Many stars can no longer stand the tension and show on social networks how they pass the time until the decision – from funny to extremely unhealthy.

Countless stressful cigarettes

In particular, cigarette consumption by the usually health-conscious celebrities has skyrocketed since November 3rd. Rapper Cardi B (28) for example (b) smokes three cigarettes at once against all the stress. Heidi Klum (47) even tops them and "pulls" a dozen glow sticks, while a broadcast for the election is on television in the background. She responsibly added the hashtags #dontsmoke and #smokingkills to the clip.

Actress Glenn Close (73), on the other hand, uses the time to work on her Joe Biden imitation. With a mask of the Democratic candidate, she poses in several pictures on Instagram and seems to be in good spirits that he will move into the White House. "Avengers" star Mark Ruffalo (52) also shares this opinion and thinks: "Good things take time".

Funny and serious points of view

Model Chrissy Teigen (34) meanwhile has the "stress cooking" discovered for himself, as shown on Twitter. In general, most celebrities perceive the anxious wait as pure torture. "It's like being awake while having an operation", finds late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel (52). Actress Elizabeth Banks (46, "The Hunger Games") sees at least one good thing about it all: "I just run up and down. At least I'll burn all the ice cream that I've eaten by the kilo."

With Sharon Stone (62), their emotions literally overflow. With puffy eyes, she reports on Instagram, looking at the projections and "just crying". However, it seems to be tears of joy in view of the fact that Biden seems to win the election in the last few meters.

The most haunting message Oscar winner Patricia Arquette (52, "Boyhood") has given the attempts by Donald Trump and his party to prevent the counting of a large number of postal ballots that could probably seal his defeat. "We all pay our taxes. Our voice is our sacred and nationally guaranteed right."
