US sanctions 93 Russia-linked entities

WASHINGTON, Feb 23 (Reuters) – The United States imposed new trade restrictions on 93 entities based in Russia, China, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, India, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates for supporting the war effort of Russia in Ukraine, according to a federal government notice published online Friday.

These entities have been included on a “black list” established by the Commerce Department which prohibits them from deliveries by American companies.

Of the entities added to the list, 63 are from Russia, 16 from Turkey, eight from China and four from the United Arab Emirates.

These measures from the US Treasury, announced at the same time as British and European sanctions, are part of a package of sanctions carried out by the administration of Joe Biden, two years after the start of the invasion of Ukraine via Moscow.
