WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States is preparing $2.2 billion in new military aid for Ukraine, which will include long-range rockets for the first time, Reuters told Tuesday two US representatives familiar with the matter.
Washington announced last week that it would send Abrams heavy battle tanks to Kyiv, fulfilling a long-standing request by Ukrainian authorities and ending diplomatic differences between Western allies.
