USA: decline in crude oil inventories


(CercleFinance.com) – US inventories of crude oil fell last week, the Energy Information Agency (EIA) said on Wednesday.

According to the Washington administration, crude inventories fell 4.6 million barrels to 413.3 million in the week of January 7.

Gasoline stocks increased by eight million barrels, while reserves of distillates, which include among others domestic fuel oil, increased by 2.5 million barrels.

US light crude was up 1.8% to $ 82.5 per barrel following the release of these figures.
