USA: Household morale deteriorates in November


November 10 (Reuters) – American household morale has deteriorated since the start of November compared to October, the first results of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Friday.

Its confidence index stood at 60.4 this month after 63.8 a month earlier. Economists and analysts polled by Reuters had on average forecast a reading of 63.7.

The component of consumers’ judgment of their current situation came out at 65.7, after 70.6 in October and a consensus at 69.5.

That of the outlook appears at 56.9 against 59.3 previously and a consensus at 59.5. (Writing by Claude Chendjou, edited by Kate Entringer)
