USA: Improvement in household morale in April (Michigan)


PARIS, April 14 (Reuters) – The morale of American households has improved markedly since the beginning of April, the first estimate of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Thursday.

Its confidence index rose to 65.7, after 59.4 in March, while the Reuters consensus had expected a figure of 59.0.

The component of consumers’ judgment of their current situation rose to 68.1, after 67.2 the previous month and a consensus of 68.0.
