Aug 1 (Reuters) – Growth in U.S. manufacturing activity slowed in July, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) monthly survey released on Monday showed.
The ISM manufacturing index fell to 52.8, its lowest level since June 2020, against 53.0 the previous month. Economists polled by Reuters on average expected a figure of 52.0.
The new orders sub-index fell to 48.0 from 49.2 while the employment index rose to 49.9 from 47.3.
The price paid component came out at 60.0 after 78.5.
