USA: Job creation was higher than expected in November


Dec 8 (Reuters) – The U.S. economy created more jobs than expected in November, shows the Labor Department’s monthly report released on Friday.

This report lists 199,000 non-agricultural jobs created last month in the United States while economists polled by Reuters forecast an average of 180,000.

The unemployment rate fell to 3.7% in November from 3.9% the previous month.

The average hourly wage increased by 0.4% in November compared to +0.2% in October. On an annual basis, its progression reached 4.0% after 4.1% the previous month and a consensus of 4.0%. (Written by Claude Chendjou, edited by Bertrand Boucey)
