PARIS (Reuters) – The number of job openings in the United States fell slightly in November, a sign of a labor market which is slowing with the massive increase in interest rates from the American Federal Reserve (Fed).

Job openings, a measure of labor demand, fell to 8.790 million in November, according to the Labor Department’s latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey released Wednesday.

Those for October were revised upwards, to 8.852 million, against 8.733 million initially announced.

Economists polled by Reuters expected 8.850 million job openings in November.
