Are you traveling as a couple by bus, train or plane and would you like to listen to music or a podcast together – but without having to share a pair of in-ear headphones? That works, because some cell phones can also connect to two pairs of headphones at the same time via Bluetooth.

Use audio sharing on iPhone or dual audio on Galaxy phones

However, the procedure differs depending on the manufacturer. The Apple iPhone offers a corresponding function with the audio release from the factory, but it only works with a few select headphones. Samsung also offers such a possibility with dual audio. However, the technology is only integrated in a few devices – mostly these are higher-priced models.

On the other hand, it looks worse for cell phones from the manufacturers Google and Xiaomi. At Xiaomi, only an older model offers such a possibility. With Google Pixel cell phones, it is not intended to use two Bluetooth headphones at the same time.

Bluetooth splitter as an alternative

An alternative is always to use a Bluetooth adapter, which can also act as a splitter. Such models are often available for less than 30 euros. However, they often require a jack connection on the smartphone, which only a few cell phones offer today.

Pairing multiple Bluetooth speakers is easier than using two Bluetooth headphones on a cell phone.
