The audience and TV viewers can expect a special halftime show at this year’s Super Bowl. Usher will perform on roller skates, among other things.

R&B singer Usher, 45, shared insights into his performance at the finale of this year’s NFL season in an interview with Apple Music Radio during the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show press conference. Once again the musician will be seen on stage with his famous roller skates: “Roller skating in front of 60,000 people will bring out the best in me.” He also promised a show that would express his creativity.

After his residency in Las Vegas, during which he has appeared live around 100 times in the last three years, the American football final in the gambling city is the “perfect end point”. It will be a “great” performance that will set new standards. Once again, he didn’t name the guest musicians who would support him: “I had a lot of ideas about which people I wanted to share this moment with.”

The singer will perform for 15 minutes instead of 13

At the Kansas City Chiefs game against the San Francisco 49ers, Usher will entertain the spectators and millions of people on TV screens during halftime. This year’s match will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, a suburb of Las Vegas – close to the infamous Las Vegas Strip. Typically the halftime show is 13 minutes long, but Usher was able to extend his slot to 15 minutes.
