(Boursier.com) — The company UV GERMI generated in 2021 a slightly negative operating result of -0.2 ME, down by 0.3 ME compared to 2020, mainly due to the effect of the increase in salary costs, in line with the structuring of the teams performed during the year. The impact of the closure of the Dubai subsidiary is reflected in the financial result, which includes an impairment of assets of 0.8 ME. This brings the net result to -0.9 ME.
UV GERMI announces that its turnover for the 1st quarter of 2022 increased by around 30%, mainly driven by the resumption of worksites in the Water segment. The historical activity is regaining strong commercial momentum: for example, the company won an emblematic contract to equip the 8 Olympic pools for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In the Air and Surfaces segment, while activity in France has remained frozen in an electoral context that is unfavorable to public orders and regulatory changes, UV Germi announces that it will continue to increase its visibility, for example by participating in a parliamentary group dedicated to air quality and the devices designed to treat it. At the same time, new opportunities are emerging in neighboring countries such as Belgium, where the “Ventilation Plan” opens up many markets.
In a context of catching up on historical activities in water and confirmed potential for air and surface treatment solutions, UV GERMI remains confident in its ability to achieve its objective of doubling turnover. 2020 by 2023.
