The reason is the health condition of her husband, who is in the hospital.
62-year-old Simonetta Sommaruga, Federal Councilor and Head of Department for the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (UVEK) since 2010, is married to the 78-year-old writer Lukas Hartmann. This is “in good hands” in the hospital, according to the UVEK.
