Fewer and fewer people are getting vaccinated. Compared to last week, around 10 percent fewer people received the injection against the coronavirus this Tuesday.
From July 5 to July 11, 427,725 vaccine doses against Covid-19 were administered in Switzerland. This emerges from the information that the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) published on its website on Tuesday. This means that an average of 61,104 vaccinations were carried out per day. This reduced the vaccination frequency compared to the previous week by 10 percent.
41.7 percent fully vaccinated
So far, 3,605,836 people have been fully vaccinated, i.e. 41.7 percent of the population have already received two doses of vaccine. In 958,058 people, only the first vaccination has been carried out so far, as the Federal Office of Public Health and the army’s logistics base announced on Tuesday.
So far, 8,341,400 vaccine doses have been delivered to the cantons and Liechtenstein. 818,275 cans are stored at the federal government. Since it is regularly possible to take more doses per bottle than originally intended by the manufacturers, the cantons may administer more vaccine doses than they received according to the official figures.
