Corona skeptics keep trying to point out the possible harmful consequences of a vaccination. In a Telegram group with around 29,000 members, a photo circulated on Tuesday evening in this context. It is the patient file of a woman who was admitted to the Riggisberg hospital in Bern. The document shows, for example, the name, age and occupation of the woman concerned.
Like the newspaper “20 minutes” reports, the person who took and shared the picture suspects a connection between the vaccination and the hospital admission. The reason: The woman sought medical help shortly after her first corona vaccination at the beginning of September.
“Criminal offense”
The photo also shows the names and dates of other patients on the same care unit. In addition, another picture was posted to the group with detailed notes from the doctors and nurses about the woman’s disease progression.
In the meantime, however, the picture has been deleted again – for good reason: “Basically, the publication of patient data is a criminal offense and a violation of professional secrecy to which the employees have committed,” said Petra Ming from the Berner Insel Group to the newspaper. The Riggisberg Hospital is part of the Insel Group. Ming confirms that the photo shows a section of the electronic patient record.
Consequences in terms of personnel law
According to Ming, the case will now be clarified internally. If the person who took the photo is an employee, this would have consequences under personnel law. Publication of confidential documents would also result in a criminal complaint.
The patient’s husband is appalled. “I am very surprised that such information reaches the public,” as he told “20 Minuten”. He clarified that there was no evidence that his wife’s hospitalization was linked to the vaccination. (bra)
