A suspect was this Saturday in police custody after the fatal knife attack on a man in the middle of the street, Friday evening in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, in the Val-de-Marne, indicated the parquet floor of Créteil, requested by AFP and confirming information from Valeurs Actuelles. The victim was seriously injured by stabbing, around 8:00 p.m., and his vital prognosis was engaged, a police source told AFP. He was later pronounced dead.

The suspect probably homeless

The suspect arrested was “obviously in a state of alcoholism”, probably homeless and with “a potential ‘psy’ problem”, detailed a source familiar with the matter to AFP. A video currently circulating on social media shows stunned passers-by walking around a bloodstain and splatter on the sidewalk, next to which are many abandoned personal belongings. A flagrant investigation of the head of voluntary homicide was opened by the parquet floor of Créteil, said the latter.
