Whether "Like a single day", "Casablanca" or "Bridgerton" – these classic films and series ensure a successful Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day is getting closer and closer. But in view of the ongoing lockdown, the romantic candlelight dinner in the favorite restaurant is canceled. How good that it is best to cuddle up at home – and there is plenty of romantic entertainment. On the Day of Love, the broadcasters give us a colorful selection of films and series.

Romantic marathon on Sky Ticket

The streaming service Sky Ticket treats its viewers to a large selection of heartfelt love films for Valentine's Day. You can see real classics like "Casablanca" – the unfulfilled love story between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman has lost none of its fascination even after almost 80 years. Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw, on the other hand, provide the saddest ending in film history with "Love Story". But also romantic hits like "Notting Hill", "Wie ein Single Tag", "Bridget Jones" or "Schlaflos in Seattle" are available from February 8th to 14th. Many hits, from the latest love blockbuster like "Last Christmas" with Emilia Clarke to "Bodyguard", also famous for its music, are still available after Valentine's Day. With around 60 highlights, there is a real marathon of love films to be found here.

"Bridgerton" on Netflix

Series fans get a lot of romance and hot sex scenes with the Netflix hit "Bridgerton". Over 82 million households have already seen the love story between Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings. The epic love story between Claire and Jamie from the hit series "Outlander" has not yet come close. They even made it into the "Guinness Book of Records". "Outlander" is listed as the most popular "romantic series". There have been four seasons on Netflix so far. The pay TV broadcaster Universal TV has all five seasons in its program.

Lady Gaga gives you goose bumps on TV

On Valentine's Day itself, "A Star Is Born", a real romantic hit, celebrates its free TV premiere on RTL. Last but not least, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper provide goosebumps with their Oscar-winning duet "Shallow". On Arte you can see the film adaptation of a real romantic classic: "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet" with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. And what would Valentine's Day be without the star-studded episode film of the same name? Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher and many more spray a lot of romance on sixx in prime time or on Sky Ticket around the clock.
