(CercleFinance.com) – Valeo announced on Monday the creation of a new division, ‘Valeo Power’, entirely specialized in electric mobility technologies.
The entity, officially created on April 22, brings together thermal and propulsion systems activities, in accordance with the projects that the automotive supplier unveiled at the start of the year.
The branch, supposed to be based on an ‘agile’ organization based on seven regional subsidiaries, will be headed by Xavier Dupont, who will also take on the role of deputy general manager of the group.
At the same time, the division dedicated to comfort systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) – which are based on software and calculation units acting as the ‘brains’ of vehicles – will become ‘Valeo Brain’.
Finally, the visibility systems (lighting) activity will be renamed ‘Valeo Light’.
Valeo specifies that this operational structure will now be organized around these three divisions which will become the main segments of its financial publications from the results of the first half of 2024.
The after-sales activity is expected to continue its activities under the name ‘Valeo Service’.
