Valérie Bonneton (In search of eternal youth): “I was screwed …”, why she never hid her age

For M6, the actress Valérie Bonneton tested methods intended to slow down the effects of ageing. Review of the experience broadcast this Thursday, October 13 at 9:10 p.m.

What tempted you in this anti-aging journey?

VALERIE BONNETON: When my agent told me about it, I thought it was some kind of Meeting in unknown land and I thought I would say no. It’s not my cup of tea. When I understood that it was a real experience that touched on subjects that fascinate me, I was more attentive.

What specific topics are you interested in?

Everything related to nutrition. As a child, I never ate adulterated products. My mother cooked every day. I reproduced this diagram with my children. Even when I came home late, I cooked for the next day, I canned, like my mom did.

What limits have you imposed on yourself as a tester?

We were bound to nothing but our own limits. If something put us off or scared us, we didn’t do it. Fasting, for example, was a challenge. I was this close to saying, “I’m looking at you, go ahead.” But curiosity won out and I did.

What do you remember from all these experiences?

Brain strength is insane. It treats, it heals. I meditate more regularly. I also discovered the benefits of miso (fermented paste) which I use now. I have also considerably reduced my meat consumption, I eat more lentils, chickpeas…

Have you been tempted by cosmetic surgery?

From the start, I bet on hard work and my talent. I didn’t focus on my physique otherwise, at the first wrinkle, I was screwed. That’s also why I never hid my age (she’s 52, editor’s note). We must not give in to these injunctions. The only thing that matters is being alive.
