On the occasion of the launch of this 16th edition, the 57-year-old journalist opened up to the columns of Télé Star, not hesitating to talk about wrinkles and extra pounds.
Valérie Trierweiler confided to having hesitated for a long time to participate in the program. “What made me hesitate was the fact of being exposed again when my current life is rather in the shadows”, she confided for Télé Star. Indeed, since her highly publicized break with the former President of the Republic François Hollande in 2014, marked by the revelations of her infidelities by Closer, Valérie Trierweiler has remained rather discreet, avoiding TV sets and public appearances.
Valérie Trierweiler: at war against “the signs of aging”
But other rather unexpected parameters could well have convinced her to give up the adventure. “You also have to accept seeing yourself on screen in your truth, with the signs of aging and the extra pounds!”, she revealed in Télé Star. It was ultimately his love of adventure that won out.
In 2019, the companion of rugby player Romain Magellan had already admitted to having difficulty accepting the marks of time. “Old age is not an easy thing but above all nobody dares to say it. Women and especially actresses say that they love to grow old, to look at themselves, to have white hair, wrinkles but me it bores me, I have don’t want”, she said at the microphone of RTL. And to add: “I would like to stop time. I loved being 50, but I wish it had ended there.”
