Return trips between several important places will be numerous in Valheim, since the biomes and areas you are interested in collecting rare resources are not necessarily right next to your first base camp. How to build teleport portals in Valheim?
If you want to teleport to Valheim, you will need some prerequisites, not very difficult if you already have a few hours of play. You must, indeed, have a first pickaxe, to go and recover copper and tin, in order to manufacture bronze. Then you will have to make the ax and collect 20 units of precious wood, which we find thanks to the birches. Finally, you will have to go to the dungeons of the Black Forest to obtain hearts of Surtling, another essential element for the manufacture of this portal.
When you have found these elements, you should normally unlock the recipe, which we indicate just below so that you can have it in front of you. Gather all these items and you can build a portal in Valheim.
- 10 x Eye of Dwarven
- 20 x Precious Wood
- 2 x Heart of Surtling
How to use portals in Valheim?
Note that you are going to need double these resources to create your first portal link, as you need one on each side. For example, if you want to put a portal near the Merchant, to avoid having to travel each time, you will have to put a portal at your base, and another at the Merchant. To connect them, just call them the same, for example “Merchant”.
If the mention “CONNECTED” is displayed, it means that you can teleport. Otherwise, the name is not identical. Finally, note that everything can be teleported except for ores, whether raw or smelted, and dragon eggs, to avoid making the Valheim experience a bit too easy.
