How to get tar in Valheim?
Tar can only be obtained in the plains biome. While strolling in this dangerous region, whether it is because of the morstics, the goblins or the loxes, you will have the opportunity to come across tar deposits. But be careful, these are guarded by a creature that will attack you as soon as it sees you, the outgrowth. Similar to a blop, she will attack you by throwing a substance at you that will poison and slow you down, while inflicting serious damage. If it is not very difficult to beat, it is however necessary to avoid being touched.
Once the area is cleared, get closer to the deposit and collect the tar. Just focus on the rocks at the far end of the pond, as if you go into the liquid tar you’ll get trapped and the tar blocks can’t be picked up. If you ever want to collect them all the same, you will have to dig a trench so that it flows out and leaves the tar blocks on the ground.
What is tar used for?
Unlike some resources, tar is not the most useful item in Valheim. Above all, it will allow you to make structures, whether to build a building or decorate your house, increasing comfort, for example. A chest can however be crafted, the darksteel chestwhich has 32 slots, making it very interesting.
