Unveiled last March during the State of Play, Valkyrie Elysium seems to have found a release date in Square Enix’s already busy schedule. In reality, it is rather two dates, since the game will first be available on PS4 and PS5 from September 29, 2022, and then arrive on Steam on November 11.
A return expected by fans of the license, even if this new title moves away from the formats of previous opuses. Here the saga turns to Action-RPG to tell us the story of Maria, a valkyrie created by Odin to become an emissary of redemption. The envoy of the father of all things must then fight to succeed in countering the imminent arrival of Ragnarök. Maria will have to stand up against Fenrir, a gigantic wolf heralding the end of time, as well as a mysterious rival who also seems to be a valkyrie.
But our heroine will not always be alone to fight her battles. She will have the opportunity to meet several Einherjars who can lend her a hand during certain confrontations. Help that will not be too much to fight against monsters acting as bosses in fights that promise to be very dynamic. Mastering the combos of our proud fighter will undoubtedly be an asset not to be overlooked in overcoming all enemies.
