Vallourec wins a major order from ExxonMobil Guyana















(Boursier.com) — Vallourec won a third major order under its long-term agreement signed last year with ExxonMobil Guyana.

As part of this contract, Vallourec will deliver line pipes for ExxonMobil Guyana’s deepwater Uaru project. The Uaru Project is located in the Stabroek Block, a strategic 26,800 km2 basin off the continental shelf of Guyana, where several significant discoveries have been made since 2015.

The Group will deliver 35,000 tonnes of line tubes, including 2,000 tonnes of X80, a unique and innovative material developed and certified by Vallourec’s R&D teams.

After the orders for the Yellowtail and Gas-to-Energy projects concluded under the same long-term agreement, this contract for Uaru consolidates the strategic partnership between Vallourec and ExxonMobil Guyana, which is already based on a well-filled order book. with approximately 90,000 tonnes (or 520 km) of line tubing ordered since December 2021.
