Teased for several days, VALORANT’s new map has been widely featured in a new video released by Riot Games. Players will be able to discover a ninth cardafter Pearl, this time inspired by Indian architecture, with two new characteristics, which will inevitably change the way of playing on it.
Lotus, new map of VALORANT
Riot Games has released a new cinematic, as the studio behind League of Legends knows how to do, to highlight Lotusthe name of this new card, the ninth in VALORANT, although not all nine are playable. As we told you, the atmosphere of the map is strongly inspired by Indian architecture and is located in the Western Ghats, a mountain range located on the southwest coast of India. Various references can also be found in the various buildings.
As for the specificities of the card, players will have three bomb sites to attack or defend, like Haven. But to make matters worse and allow for new tactics, destructible walls will dot the map, as will rotating doorswhich we can see in action in the trailer.
Lotus should therefore be, at first glance, a difficult map for defenders, where tactics will be very important and communication within the team essential. The new VALORANT map will be integrated from the launch of Act I of Episode 6, on January 11 in France. For several weeks, we should have more chances of falling on Lotus.
In addition to this novelty, FPS players will be able to discover a new battle pass, offering new skins such as the 9 LIVES skin from the Classic. However, no Agent will be added, since Riot Games no longer wishes to add one during all Acts.
