Value: 100,000 euros – employees stole 113 pieces of silver tableware

Silver dishes from a house in Salzburg-Morzg are said to have stolen by two Salzburg residents between March and August of this year. The two men, aged 24 and 33, were employed as household managers and cooks at the time. While the 24-year-old confesses to having stolen about 30 of the 113 pieces, the 33-year-old denies the act.

As police spokeswoman Irene Stauffer said, the loot was worth at least 100,000 euros. The high amount results primarily from the art-historical value of the dishes, but the actual damage still has to be checked by an expert.
