* Registrations of new cars in France increased in April by 10.92% at an annual rate, according to data communicated on Wednesday by the Automobile Platform (PFA). Registrations of new cars from the STELLANTIS group
STLAM.MI rose last month by 2.60% compared to a year earlier. RENAULT RENA.PA saw its registrations in France increase by 4.52% year-on-year in April.
* TELEPERFORMANCE TEPRF.PA reported Tuesday evening pro-forma turnover up only 0.9% in the first quarter, citing an unfavorable basis of comparison and an uncertain macroeconomic context.
* LAGARDÈRE LAGA.PA – Arnaud Lagardère, CEO of the group, was forced to resign from his executive mandates within the group, he announced on Tuesday. The board of directors of Lagardère SA has unanimously decided to “co-opt” Jean-Christophe Thiery as director and to appoint him CEO of the group, it is indicated in a press release.
* TF1 TFFP.PA reported Tuesday evening a 6.7% increase in its consolidated turnover in the first quarter, citing good advertising performance.
* IMERYS IMTP.PA posted a 7.1% drop in its turnover in the first quarter on Tuesday evening, due to a decline in sales volumes.
* COMMERZBANK CBKG.DE – The bank’s shareholders approved the payment of a dividend of 35 cents per share and the authorization of new share buyback plans.
* BBVA BBVA.MC announced on Wednesday that it had proposed a merger with its competitor Sabadell SABE.MC with a view to creating one of the largest European banking groups with more than 1,000 billion euros in assets.
