PARIS, May 31 (Reuters) – Key stocks to watch on Wednesday on Wall Street where index futures suggest a slightly lower open:

* AMERICAN AIRLINES raised its profit target for the second quarter on Wednesday, helped by lower jet fuel costs and strong demand. The airline took 2% in trade before the opening.

* Competitor UNITED AIRLINES gained 2% ahead of the stock market in its wake. The group has also announced the retirement of its financial director Gerry Laderman next year.

* CAPRI, owner of luxury brands Versace and Michael Kors, gained 5% in pre-market trading after reporting better-than-expected quarterly revenue and profit on higher sales in China.

* HP – The group’s quarterly revenue fell short of market expectations due to the impact of inflation on PC demand. The title of the computer group fell 4.7% in pre-market.

* HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE reported second-quarter revenue below expectations as customers cut spending amid a slowing economy. Its action lost 7.5% before the market.
