Since February 18, the Ranked mode of Call of Duty Vanguard is available. Nevertheless, it is not an ordinary mode sinceit has its own rules and restrictions, all modeled after the Call of Duty League.
As such, there are prohibited weapons, prohibited accessories, as well as unauthorized tactical and lethal equipment and prohibited combat upgrades and killstreaks.
In addition, friendly fire is activated and you will suffer penalties if you kill too many people on your team.
Vanguard Ranked Mode Restrictions
As we have just told you, Vanguard’s Ranked mode does not allow the use of all weapons and equipment. As a result, everything that is prohibited has been listed:

Maps and Modes Available in Vanguard Ranked
As announced in the February 17 Patch Note, the modes available in Vanguard Ranked are the same as those in the Call of Duty League:
CDL control
Take turns attacking and defending the objective.
– Lives per team: 30
– Time limit: 1.5 minutes
– Win limit: 3 rounds
Maps: Gavutu, Desert Siege.
Search and Destroy CDL
Take turns defending and destroying the objective.
– No respawn
– Time allowed per round: 1.5 minutes
– Win limit: 6 rounds
Maps: Berlin, Desert Siege, Casablanca, Hotel Royal.
CDL Strategic Point
Take control of the shifting lens.
– Time limit: 5 minutes
– Score limit: 250 points
– Lens change: every 60s
Maps: Gavutu, Desert Siege, Berlin, Casablanca.
Ranked Events and Points
If you complete two ranked events per week, you will earn stars and move up the rankings.
- Ranking of ranked events: At each start of an event, complete a ranked game to integrate the ranking and get a ranking bonus – 200 points.
- Ranking points: Ranking points are awarded for each victory, or are deducted when you lose a game – Victory: 100 points / Loss: -61 points.
- Abandonment penalties: Abandonments and disconnections will result in the deduction of small additional points – Abandonment: -50 points / Defeat: -61 points.
- Daily Victory Bonus: Earn a daily bonus by winning games (up to 100 bonus points) – 20 points.
Ranks and stars
- Ranked Play Rank: Your Ranked Play Rank represents your Ranked Event achievements.
- Rank Progression: Earn stars based on your place in the leaderboard at the end of each event to progress your rank in ranked play.
- Continuous Rank: Ranked play rank is permanent and continuous from season to season.
Master’s Divisions
In Vanguard Ranked, there are a total of 7 Mastery Divisions: competitor, specialist, advanced, expert, elite, master and adversary.
Your Division represents your skills in Ranked Play. Win games to advance your division and level up.
- Skills assessment
Each season, complete 5 skill assessment games to enter the same division as players with similar skills to yours.
- Group Restrictions and Jurisdiction
Players of Division Expert or better can only play in a group with players of the same division.
