Veganuary: These are our favorite cookbooks for delicious vegan dishes

Every year in January many good resolutions are made. Some start into Dry January and do without alcohol, others stop smoking and still others want to eat without animal products. But sometimes the beginning is difficult.

What else can I eat? How do I prepare this? How can certain products be substituted? And does it even taste good?

“And a salad for you, yes?”

A sentence that every vegan has probably heard several times in a similar way. Of course, that’s total nonsense. Vegans don’t just nibble on their veggie sticks all day. There are now many products that are vegan and taste great, and the range of meat substitutes is getting wider and wider. Of course, not all of it is healthy. But the alternatives are now so diverse that veganism has long since had nothing to do with doing without.

Vegan burgers, lentils bolo and co.

We don’t want to do without all that good fast food forever. Of course, just because we’re eating it vegan doesn’t mean it’s healthy, but there must be exceptions. Fortunately, chicken nuggut, cheeseburger and cordon bleu are now also available in vegan form. The universally popular pasta dish Spaghetti Bolognese can also be cooked with lentils, soy strips or vegan minced meat instead of minced meat.

Above all, the great thing about vegan cuisine is that it is full of new inspirations, tastes and combinations, so that you may end up not wanting to go back to meat. Or you manage to consume less overall. Delicious ideas from all over the world, for example, are provided by cookbooks that do not contain any animal products. From Japanese to one pot or easypeasy quickly cooked dishes – there is something for every cooking skill and preference. Let yourself be inspired and above all: enjoy it!
