Velkhana and Awakened Scarlet Valstrax are coming to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Set for February 7 for Switch and PC players, Sunbreak not yet available on PlayStation and Xbox, this update will feature the Velkhana, an ancient dragon straight from the cold and more precisely from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. If you are not one of the 10 million owners ofIceborne, Capcom recalls that the Velkhana is capable of forming huge pillars of ice and freezing the most ardent hunters. Still in the family of ancient dragons, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate’s Valstrax is back in “awakened scarlet” mode, which probably doesn’t bode well for hunters uninformed about this creature, which also requires presenting a Master Rank 160. With such challenges, the materials collected during battles will be of great value to craft new weapons and armor.

Time to break the ice

Otherwise, the Chaos Gore Magala joins A8★ quests and the anomaly search cap increases to 220, knowing that the risk of encountering an Elder Dragon will be real from difficulty level 111. New event quests will continue to be going out every week to make sure hunters don’t drop out and always get more rewards. Capcom still keeps some of the content (special armor, emotes, poses, stickers, music and hunter voices) to place it in the paid DLC section. Finally, the publisher announces that the free update #5 will be available in April with one more Elder Dragon and one improved monster.
