A 43-year-old mother was taken into police custody on the evening of Saturday April 23 after dropping off her 6-year-old daughter by the side of the road in La Roche-sur-Yon (Vendée) in order to to punish.
The police were called by a witness who witnessed the scene, Ouest-France reported.
The girl was picked up by the police who quickly found the mother.
According to the regional daily, the forties was alcoholic. She explained that she did so in order to punish her daughter.
The woman was taken into custody, Ouest-France said.
