Veolia: commissioning of a biomethane unit – 03/31/2022 at 10:33

(CercleFinance.com) – Veolia and Waga Energy announce the commissioning of the largest biomethane production unit using biogas from a non-hazardous waste storage facility (ISDND) in France.

Located at Veolia’s industrial ecology center in Claye-Souilly (Seine-et-Marne), the unit will produce 120 GWh of renewable gas per year and will thus avoid around 25,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Based on WAGABOX technology, developed by Waga Energy, this unit recovers and treats biogas from buried waste to transform it into biomethane, a green gas then injected directly into the network operated by GRDF.
