Veolia sells its hazardous waste assets in France to Suez

(Boursier.com) — Veolia and Suez announce the signing of an agreement for the acquisition by Suez of all hazardous waste assets in France as part of the commitments made by Veolia to the European Commission in terms of competition. The assets represent an enterprise value of 690 million euros.

The agreement is materialized by a unilateral promise to purchase which should allow the parties to finalize the transaction as well as consultations with Veolia’s employee representative bodies and obtaining the necessary regulatory authorizations. It will be carried out in compliance with all the social commitments announced by the two Groups.
