Sad news for all fans of Vera Int-Veen: the presenter ends her television career.

Since the 1990s, Vera Int-Veen (54) has been an integral part of the German television landscape. Now the presenter has announced the end of her TV career. “Yes, I stop watching TV,” she explains on Instagram. What comes as a surprise to many fans is nothing new for Int-Veen: she made the decision last year.

How is it going without her now with the RTL format “wanted daughter-in-law”? According to the presenter, the broadcaster is not planning a new season for this year anyway. “I think RTL will take a year off, then maybe someone else can moderate the show next year,” says Int-Veen. So far, there has been no comment from the broadcaster.

Vera Int-Veen’s plans: traveling with her wife

However, Vera Int-Veen does not lie down lazily: the presenter and her wife Christine, called Obi, have “enough to do”. “Obi and I are full of ideas. Just because you don’t do one thing anymore doesn’t mean you’re a pensioner. We always have something to do, there are always new projects,” says Int-Veen. Above all, the couple wants to “travel a lot, now that it’s gradually becoming feasible again”. “I’d like to criss-cross the world again,” the 54-year-old reveals her plans. For example, she could imagine spending the cold winter months in Asia.

Vera Int-Veen started her TV career in the 1990s. From 1996 to 2006 she presented the Sat.1 talk show “Vera am Mittag”. Since 2007 she has presented the RTL formats “Daughter-in-law wanted” and “Helper with heart” (until 2012).
