(Boursier.com) — After the announcement of prospecting for a commercial return to Japan, Vergnet announces as part of the “Reconquest” section of its 3R Plan, a return to Australia. Indeed, at the request of the Australian Federal Government, Vergnet will be present at the ‘All Energy Australia’ exhibition which will take place in Melbourne on October 25 and 26. As part of this show, the largest gathering of renewable energy professionals in Australia, Vergnet will take part in conferences and will thus be able to present its renewable energy solutions.

After a first presence several years ago which enabled Vergnet to install 3 wind turbines, this vast country, 14 times larger than France, is today a market conducive to the group’s development as the current context is favorable to renewable energies: Australia ranks 6th in the world for the attractiveness of its investment and deployment opportunities in the field of renewable energies and aims to be among the top three exporting countries of renewable energies.

The country is increasingly asserting itself as a leading solar power. Measured by its population, the country was the largest producer of solar electricity in 2021 with 1,091 kilowatt hours (kWh) of solar energy per capita. Australia is also the 6th largest producer in the world with 28 billion kWh of solar energy in 2021, almost twice as much as France, Mexico, the United Kingdom or the Netherlands. And in terms of wind energy, production has also increased by an average of 15% per year over the last decade (source: Ministry of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water – 2022 ).

In this context, Vergnet, faithful to its strategy and its positioning, intends to develop in the market segments where its wind power solutions (with in particular its folding wind turbine), solar power and hybrids are particularly competitive. In concrete terms, the group wishes to conquer market shares in areas and sectors that are difficult in terms of access and climatic conditions: in isolated areas; in the mining sector; on the hurricane coast; in Aboriginal communities.
