(CercleFinance.com) – Vergnet announces an acceleration of the construction of the hybrid solar/diesel power plant in Agadez in Niger, one of the largest hybrid photovoltaic projects in Africa, and considered ‘particularly strategic for the group ‘.
The first factory acceptances of the diesel generators and solar panels have been carried out in recent weeks. The first shipment, involving the first of five batches of photovoltaic panels, took place at the beginning of December.
“Other large shipments, including that of diesel generators, are already planned in the coming weeks for arrival on site in the first quarter of 2023,” adds the renewable energy company.
