(AOF) – The Vergnet group, a specialist in renewable energies, is strengthening its positions in the solar sector in Brazil. The group announced the signature of two new EPC contracts, involving responsibility for the supply, construction and commissioning of the installation. These projects signed with the company Voltxs Energia, developer and independent energy producer (IPP) specializing in solar energy, follow an initial successful project by Vergnet for the same client in Guanambi, in the state of Bahia, in 2023.
These projects concern the Caraibas/Celpe solar power plant with a total power of 4MWp with 8,752 panels installed. This project is located in Petrolina, in the state of Pernambuco, in the northeast of Brazil.
The other component revolves around the Maddi I solar power plant which has a total power of 1MWp with 2,268 panels installed. This project is located in America Dourada, in the state of Bahia, in the northeast of Brazil.
The Bom Jesus Project, announced a few months ago, is the first project carried out with the company Elis Energia and concerns a photovoltaic power plant located in Bom Jesus, in the northeast region of Brazil. With a total capacity of 4 MWp and a budget of 2 million euros, this project is currently under construction.
“These three contracts demonstrate the Group’s ability to manage large-scale projects and augur a promising future for the young subsidiary, Vergnet do Brasil. After record growth in 2023, Vergnet’s Brazilian subsidiary is aiming for even more significant expansion in 2024, with strategic partnerships,” said a press release.
