On the 18th birthday of her son San Diego it is time for Verona Pooth to say goodbye: He wants to become a professional golfer and moves to the USA.
Verona Pooth (53) has to say goodbye to him on the 18th birthday of her son San Diego: On Friday (September 10th) he will fly to the USA to be trained at the IMG Academy. The private sports school in Florida aims to help him get closer to his dream of becoming a professional golfer. “My little Diegolito is turning 18,” wrote Pooth on Instagram. “I can’t believe it, but we’re so proud of him.” You never thought “that day is coming”.
“As soon as he’s 18, he doesn’t just leave me and our home, but also his beloved papa and his little brother Roccolito,” continues the presenter. The family does not know when they will see San Diego again. “My little golfer, we wish you every success and a lot of fun,” she said to her son in personal words.

San Diego comes from Verona Pooth’s marriage to Franjo Pooth (52). The two have been in a relationship since 2000, the wedding followed in 2004. The second son Rocco (10) was born in 2011. Verona Pooth has been running the “Poothcast” podcast together with San Diego since 2020.
