The qualified graduates can work in a wide variety of operating areas in all surgical specialties, in the emergency room, the shock room, endoscopy and in the processing unit for medical devices. Professional preparation for high levels of responsibility “You have a high level of responsibility for the care, supply and safety of the Patients, we are professionally prepared for this,” says Tamara Temmel from Graz. The job description of surgical technical assistance includes the independent care and support of patients before, during and after an operation as well as assistance with surgical procedures as ordered by a doctor. The core tasks include, in particular, instrumentation in all operational specialist areas.
