If you want to design your balcony with it, it is best to pay attention to a few things in advance:

  • How much space is there in total? Measure the entire size of your balcony so that you have a good overview of the location and can plan better.
  • How big should the seating area be? You will probably want to spend time there too, so think about how many chairs you will need and whether there should be an extra table.
  • How much green do you want and how much space or height do you have on the balcony for it? If you plan to have seating, maybe a grill or other ideas for your patio, you should play it through beforehand and work out whether everything comes out of the place as you imagine it.
  • What kind of plants or garden do you have in mind?in front: a snack garden, a colorful flower paradise or should the focus be on bee-friendly plants? If you want to enjoy splashes of color in winter too, have a look through evergreen plants!
  • When choosing plants, consider the orientation of your balcony! Not every plant can stand in full sun or in the shade.
  • What kind of planter do you have in mind as a vertical garden? Here you can choose from a variety of options, such as wall pockets for hanging, vertical flower box stands, pallets, a plant tower or a modular system for hanging or standing.
  • The walls can take it? If you choose hanging planters, make sure the walls can take the load!
  • Secure hanging gardens or shelves wellso that they can withstand all weather conditions.
  • How to water the vertical garden? Water dispenser or watering can – you decide.
