very bad news for Capcom’s big game

Pragmata, the new Capcom franchise announced in 2020, is back with a very short gameplay trailer, but above all very bad news.

While Exoprimal will be launched on July 14, 2023 on consoles and PC, another new license resurfaced during the Capcom Showcase: Pragmata. A new IP whose name has been circulating for three years, without anyone really knowing what to expect. Today, we see it slightly clearer but we will have to be patient…

Pragmata shows gameplay and delays its release

Unveiled in 2020 by Capcom during a PS5 conference, Pragmata fully played the card of secrecy… until this evening. The Japanese publisher has indeed given news and it’s not all good.

First, the firm specifies that it is an action-adventure game in a science fiction universe. The little blonde girl, Diana, will be the heroine of the title but she will not be left to herself. This will be protected by a man hidden behind an outfit halfway between an astronaut and Sam Gideon, the character of the TPS Vanquish. If we are to believe the snippets of gameplay, Diana still has powers that should benefit this duo.

So much for the very brief context, and now for the very bad news. The game postpones its release and will therefore not be available in 2023. “To all of our fans, it is with regret that we have to once again push Pragmata away. Our team is currently working hard to create the best possible game, but we need more time. We will continue to do our best to ensure that the final product meets your expectations. We thank you for your patience and support. The development team ».

Unfortunately, instead of a new exit window, we just get a question mark. Pragmata will be available at an undetermined date, but still on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
