very good news for the future, it looks great

Just two months after the release of FF7 Rebirth, we already have other news about FF7 Remake 3. More specifically, these come to us from the official Square Enix music channel.

We find Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima, two true legends when it comes to Final Fantasy. With great lightness, they indicated that they are “already working hard” on FF7 Remake 3. Who says music channel also says the presence of another icon of the franchise: Nobuo Uematsu. His contribution no longer needs to be presented, particularly with the masterful soundtrack of FF7 Rebirth.

FF7 Remake 3 is already on the track

Despite figures below Square Enix’s expectations in Japan, F77 Rebirth was also a resounding success at the start of the year. The title owes its success in particular to the opening towards a well-constructed open world, and above all a plot and characters which develop crescendo. This bodes very well for a grand finale in FF7 Remake 3.

The latest official video from Square Enix allows fans to be reassured on this point. Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima are already working on the sequel. “ We are already off to a flying start », they tell us. Now that the bulk of the work is done on the construction of the open world, we can hope for a closer release of FF7 Remake 3. However, the addition of the Highwind in the means of transport of Cloud and his friends could pose some problems of ladder. Given the success of the license, we can still bet that Square Enix will give itself the means to complete such an ambitious trilogy.

The return of a Final Fantasy musical legend

As iconic as they are, Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima were not the guests of honor in this interview. Centered on music, it quite logically gave a prominent place to a certain Nobuo Uematsu. The master composer therefore joined the enthusiasm of his colleagues around FF7 Remake 3. At the age of 65, he showed a certain interest in returning to service for this finale, at least for the main theme. In any case, he indicated that he “ would be an honor for him “.

The three men were cautious on this point, but their enthusiasm to work together again was palpable. So it wouldn’t be surprising if Nobuo Uematsu’s return is officially confirmed soon. As for seeing the fruit of their hard work on FF7 Remake 3, you will certainly have to show a little more patience. You can find the interview in full below, with English subtitles (French is unfortunately not available).
