This Wednesday, March 16, Marine Le Pen was received by Cyril Hanouna in Face à Baba. The facilitator returned to the candidate’s complicated journey, especially at the family level.
After Eric Zemmour and Jean-Luc Mélenchon, it’s Marine Le Pen’s turn to enter the arena of Face à Baba. Less than a month from the first round, the candidate came to present her proposals, while debating with various political figures such as Marlène Schiappa or Jean Messiha. During the interview, Cyril Hanouna notably returned to the difficult family background of Marine Le Pen, which he linked with the “mind of steel” of the candidate. “At the age of 8, an attack devastated your family apartment, your mother disappeared from home overnight when you were 16… You still went through incredible hardships“, says Cyril Hanouna before adding: “Your relationship with your dad has always been complicated… Is that what keeps you going? ‘Cause it looks like you got a steely mind“. “It is sure that it is an unusual course“, answers Marine Le Pen before continuing: “We say: ‘the heart must break or tan’. So yes, of course, all these tests contribute to the solidity that is mine today (…) I know that you should not despair at the slightest difficulty and I believe I have been confronted with a certain number.

The opportunity for Cyril Hanouna to address the issue of relations between father and daughter within the Le Pen clan. “Where are you with your dad?“, asks the latter. “It’s always complicated with him”replies the RN candidate in a burst of laughter, before explaining that Jean Marie Le Pen “challenged all of the decisions“that she took, in the days of the National Front.”It’s a Greek tragedy! Every time my mind took a path, we always came to this rupture”, says the candidate. A break that was not easy for Marine Le Pen. “It was very painful for me because I love him, he is my father”she confides about the one she last spoke to there “three weeks, one month”.
