Vessel carrying Russian gas docks in France after being turned away from GB

LONDON, March 5 (Reuters) – A ship carrying Russian gas arrived at a port in Brittany in France on Saturday after British dockworkers refused to offload it in protest at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Boris Vilkitsky docked at the port of Montoir-de-Bretagne.

Greenpeace said in a statement that some of its members went to the port to protest against the arrival of the boat.

According to the British daily newspaper The Guardian, the ship was en route to the Isle of Grain, in the south-east of England, with a cargo of liquefied natural gas for Centrica, the owner of British Gas.
