In her job as an actress, the focus is often on the outside, as Lanz once pointed out to the German Press Agency in 2016: “It’s certainly not a disadvantage to look good as an actress. You have to reach people and you need a certain charisma.” But for the well-known actress it is also clear that a person in this job does not necessarily have to get far with their looks.
“You can’t achieve anything with optics alone, I’m convinced of that.” Substance and acting ability are also in demand, according to Lanz. “I don’t feel reduced to the visual.” Even in her private life, optics are not a benchmark for the actress, as she indicated in an interview with “Bild”.
Husband Jan Batu-Lanz did not dare to walk on the red carpet with Elisabeth for so long
Lanz and her husband have been married for over a decade. But it actually took a long time before the management consultant dared to walk the red carpet with his wife: five years. Lanz revealed why this is so in the “Bild” interview in 2011: “Just because I’m in the public eye because of my job, it doesn’t mean that my husband automatically has to do it if he doesn’t want it.”
